GeoPoint Surveying has joined the team developing Latitude Margaritaville Watersound, an active-adult residential community concept which will include 3,500 homes and resort-style amenities located just outside of Panama City Beach, Florida. Our Panama City-based crews will use our array of forward-thinking technology and equipment to deliver all land development surveying services for the development’s infrastructure and construction layout, and provide topography and boundary design mapping reports.
“A development of this scope is a massive undertaking,” said Joe Rager, our Director of North Florida Operations. “GeoPoint’s involvement in the project will likely last 10 years or more, and with our new Panama City office location, we’re ready to hit the ground running.”
The third community of its kind, the Watersound, Florida location will be developed through a partnership with The St. Joe Company and Minto Communities USA, and like its sister properties in Daytona Beach, FL and Hilton Head, SC, the “55 and better” active-adult lifestyle community is eagerly awaited. The neighborhood will be an integral part of the St. Joe Company’s plans to develop as many as 170,000 homes, a marina, commercial districts and other developments as a part of their Bay-Walton Sector Plan which includes approximately 15 miles of Intracoastal Waterway frontage.
