Senior Vice President, Director of Estimating and Safety Operations

Mr.Horne is a Professional Surveyor and Mapper in the state of Florida and has more than 46 years of experience in land surveying. Mr. Horne began his survey career in 1971 as a rodman for Walter C. Caldwell. Then joined Heidt and Associates in 1977 as an instrument man, in less than 6 months was promoted to Crew Chief. In 1996 Mr. Horne became Vice President and Director of Field Personnel until the incorporation of GeoPoint Surveying, Inc.

In his Senior Vice President role, Horne leads the team responsible for project estimates across GeoPoint’s six service departments. In addition, he also manages the safety and training requirements for all of GeoPoint’s employees. He has provided GPS data for roadway construction, including work for FDOT and drainage surveys for SWFWMD. His experience as a Professional Surveyor and Mapper includes commercial, residential and roadway projects for both the public and private sector clients and is thoroughly familiar with local methods and conditions. Mr. Horne has successfully led field crews in Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Manatee, Sarasota, Santa Rosa, Charlotte, Lee, Collier and Walton County surveying endeavors.
